I think it is both a Wonderful and Terrible idea.

Al I'm hearing is "that's a wonderful idea nFamous you should do it. The weather is terrible today"

MPG City: 8
Be sure you know what you are getting into there. That V-10 will pass anything but a gas station.

pass.

Is it wrong I'd be using it as a weekend fun vehicle and/or Lowe's runs?

Do you like burnouts? I like burnouts.
This truck will be very good at burnouts.
No idea if the price is right but I like it.

Counter idea:
It’s just like what you posted, but better. Why? V10 with stick shift, baby!
![]() 11/08/2018 at 09:16 |

Enticing. Like a Viper you can allegedly tow
with and go to Lowes
.
![]() 11/08/2018 at 09:20 |
|
And 30% less likely to try and murder me than a Vi per.
![]() 11/08/2018 at 09:22 |

If that's the case, I would hold out for a regular cab.

Buying that model of truck isn’t a bad idea, provided that you can manage
your tire budget and throttle foot
. They’re unique, and unlikely to lose value as long as you take care of it.
Buying that specific one from that specific dealer is a terrible idea. Limited inventory, dirt lot, everything is 10+ yrs old. Run away!

Considering it’s at a place called “Dixie Motors” it’s either the worst decision you can make, or the best.

Only drawback to the extended cab SRT-10s is the slushbox. Otherwise, yeah go for it. I’ve been considering one myself to replace my ‘99 Dakota R/T.

We have quite a bit of "Dixie" here in VA, specifically the Hampton roads area which is not very "dixie" you'll notice after driving around for 5 minutes. I may take a ride out there just for kicks. They have a 99 3500 dually I keep seeing and for some reason I love it

We’ve got a couple Dixie here or anothers in Nashville too. The truck is either going to be complete junk or it was some rednecks pride and joy.

Terribly Wonderful.

Eh, a friend had one for a while.
He averaged 15mpg in mixed driving, so in reality, it’s on par with the majority of trucks in real world use.

I see nothing wrong with this

Having experience with these: no. It is much more likely to murder you than the Viper. Usually due to abrupt failure of front end suspension components.
